We’re incredibly excited to be recruiting two part-time coordinators to form Baby Godiva’s first staff team.

Baby Godiva supports families across Coventry who are experiencing poverty, hardship or crisis. We provide essential items for babies and young children with kindness, dignity and compassion.

We’re looking for two practical, compassionate people who understand that supporting families takes both sensitive frontline work and a huge amount of organisation behind the scenes.

Baby Bank Warehouse and Volunteer Coordinator

£14 per hour | Three days a week 9:30am – 2:00pm

Our Warehouse and Volunteer Coordinator will take the lead on keeping our busy baby bank safe, organised and running smoothly.

This is a practical, hands-on role. You’ll receive and sort donations, monitor stock, prepare essential items for families and facilitate collections by families and professionals.

You’ll also recruit, train and support our volunteers, creating a welcoming environment where people understand their roles, feel valued and can use their time effectively.

We’re looking for someone who can create order in a busy environment, communicate warmly with donors and volunteers, and isn’t afraid to get stuck into the practical work, from moving boxes and sorting clothing to checking equipment and cleaning pushchairs.

Baby Bank Family Support and Development Coordinator

£15 per hour | Three days a week 9:30am – 2:00pm

Our Family Support and Development Coordinator will lead our contact with families and referring professionals while helping Baby Godiva develop its services for the future.

You’ll speak with families experiencing difficult and sometimes distressing circumstances, assess their needs and make fair, informed decisions about the support Baby Godiva can provide.

You’ll work closely with midwives, health visitors, social workers and other professionals, coordinate collections and deliveries, maintain accurate records and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

You’ll also help build partnerships across Coventry, identify gaps in support and use service data and frontline experience to improve how Baby Godiva works. A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role is essential.

Working Together

Although each coordinator will have clear areas of responsibility, the roles will work closely together to ensure families receive the right support as quickly as possible.

These are varied roles in a small, developing charity. No two days will be the same, and both postholders will sometimes need to step outside their usual tasks to help the service run safely and effectively.
